The lovely and talented people over at Grace Ormonde Blog have chosen to feature one of the elegant weddings we’ve worked on! For those that may not know yet, Grace Ormonde is the editor-in-chief of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine, the resource for all that is luxury wedding-related! So you can only imagine our excitement when our wedding was tweeted by Wedding Style for today’s blog!

The couple, Lorena and Ricardo, had a beautiful wedding in Oaxaca, Mexico, Lorena’s city of birth. A fairty tale wedding full of Mexican traditions and old world romance, the couple made sure to incorporate local details, such as party favors made by visually impaired children. Enjoy the photos, and please click on the link to find out how the couple met and to feast your eyes on more vibrant photos!

Real Wedding: Chaldean & Mexican Decadence

This was a bright and decadent wedding! The bride is Chaldean, and from Iraqi descent, while the groom is Mexican. Normally in Chaldean culture, the groom pays for the wedding expenses, but according to Mexican customs, the bride pays–and you can definitely see the bride’s Chaldean influences throughout. Ghada wanted certain shades of yellow to be highlighted throughout the wedding, and a posh feel for the reception.

From the dress to her accessories, the bride was dripping with diamonds!

They opted to take pictures beforehand Balboa Park because it was going to be a late ceremony.

This couple wanted to do a “first look”. Some couples find this to be more intimate and relaxing than the initial moment at the ceremony in front of guests.

The couple had a Chaldean priest perform the ceremony.

For the reception, Ghada & Leo had a Euro Bar with espresso, lounge chairs, a Middle-Eastern band from San Francisco, and a belly dancer with candlebra for the grand entrance for guests to enjoy.
