Floral Facts: Peonies
Peonies are beautiful flowers, and symbolizes “riches and honor”–traits we would wish upon any marriage. We love peonies because they have beautiful blossoms, and tons of petals. Did you know there are about 30 species of peonies? They come in shades of pink, white, red, and yellow. They are known to bloom between late spring and early summer. So if you’re considering showcasing this flower at your wedding, be sure to check that they’re in season! In comparison to other flowers, peonies can be quite pricey at about $4-6 a stem (something to consider if you’re worried about budget constraints). As cut flowers, you’ll be happy to hear that peonies are durable flowers that can last for a while. This is a benefit if you’re looking to reuse your ceremony floral at your reception.
