Elie Saab 2013 Bridal Collection

Just in time for spring, Elie Saab for Pronovias has a bridal collection for 2013 which makes our hearts skip a beat! Even after watching the runway show, we are still dreaming of delicate lace, beaded appliques, and layers upon layers of organza and tulle. The theme of this collection was “the garden of dreams”, and each dress that came down the runway is like a beautiful, handcrafted flower! This collection offers brides many options for their big day- sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve, and our favorite, cap sleeves with a beaded, detailed shoulder (see the first image below- the neckline and shoulders are to die for)! Most dresses were paired with a long, cascading veil on the runway, but we can also imagine these dresses being worn with a short birdcage veil for a sweet spring wedding.

Although the Oscars have come and gone, we are still having visions of all the beautiful gowns we saw last night! We saw so many dresses and trends that are great inspiration for our spring brides looking for the perfect wedding dress!
We saw many dresses with beautiful, embellished busts- sequins, lace, or florals at the top of the dress are a great way to add a statement to a simple, classic gown.
Zoe Saldana in Alexis Mabille Couture
Georgina Chapman in Marchesa
Kerry Washington in Mui Mui
One new trend we saw on the red carpet was a necklace worn backwards. Whether a thin strand of diamonds or a chunky, statement necklace, draping the necklace down the back rather than the front would look beautiful with any wedding dress and updo!
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture and Chopard jewels
Anne Hathaway in Prada and Tiffany jewels
Full skirts were also a big hit on the red carpet, which has always been a favorite trend for brides when choosing their wedding dress. This trend continues to be big in 2013!
Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta
Jennifer Aniston in Valentino
As far as men’s fashion, we saw many men wearing sleek suits and crisp black bow ties- this classic look is great for any handsome groom on his wedding day.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Gucci
Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen
Chris Pine in Ermenegildo Zenga

We are in lust for Naeem Khan’s Pre-Fall 2013 Collection, which he says is focused more on “dressy day” looks as opposed to his gorgeous evening wear. From short cocktail dresses to jaw-dropping, elegant sequin floor-length creations. Naeem Khan is a designer known for his graceful, couture designs that have been worn by celebrities such as Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, and First Lady Michelle Obama! If you have the cash and want to stand out, consider getting your hands on a Naeem Khan dress. Perfect for brides who want to change out of their wedding dress during their reception or to don on your bridesmaids.
This is what our modern-day Cinderella Disney Princess would wear.
Such a divine red evening wear/ formal gown for an exquisite holiday party or wedding.
We are so excited about these Pantone 2013 emerald colored gowns!

We came across these gorgeous pictures from Ryan McGinley for W Magazine’s January 2013 issue with model, Daria Werbowy. The editorial is titled, “Earth Angel” and we loving the look of the Ukrainian Canadian model, Daria, styled against the different earthy backdrops. This “earth angel” theme would be a great inspiration idea for a wedding! Think of the color combos of red, green, yellow, and white against textures like chiffon, silk, and tulle. Thank you to Fashion.net for sharing these photos.
So dreamy and ethereal! Perfect for a hipster bride in Los Angeles or a beachy bride in San Diego.
