Cocktail of the Week: Cîroc Blue Ocean

Signature cocktails are fun and add a personal touch at wedding receptions. Depending on the drink itself, it can compliment and set the theme of your reception. If you wanted an outdoor cocktail hour or a rustic theme to your wedding, you might select a light Mojito Lemon-Lime cocktail or if you’re going for a romantic and sophisticated vibe, you might go for this creamy Tequila concoction, Agave Kiss.

Serving a signature cocktail not only represents you as a couple, but also allows you to trim down the budget for your reception as well! By offering 1-3 signature drink options for guests, you can then make the hosted bar just beer and wine as opposed to a full open bar. You would only need to stock the bar with the ingredients to make your signature cocktails while still giving your attendees drink variety.

This week’s Wedding Cocktail of the Week is the  Cîroc Blue Ocean.

Drink Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Ciroc Vodka (25 oz. per bottle)
  • .5 oz. blue curacao
  • .25 oz. grapefruit juice
  • splash(es) simple syrup

Fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice.  Add vodka, blue curacao, grapefruit juice, and sugar syrup.  Cover and shake vigorously.  Strain into a glass.   Garnish with lemon or orange slice or a flower like an orchid.

Working with your groom or bride to find the right drink to reflect your personality and tastes is a great way to bond and relieve some pre-wedding stress!
